Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of ForgeBody ("Service"), operated by ForgeBody ("we", "us", "our"). By signing up or using the Service, you agree to these Terms in full.

Important: ForgeBody is a wellness coaching service, not a medical service. Nothing in the Service constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a licensed physician before making significant changes to your diet or exercise routine.

1. Service Description

ForgeBody provides AI-powered weight loss coaching delivered via SMS. The Service includes:

Personalized daily check-in messages
AI coaching responses to your texts (meal advice, motivation, accountability)
Optional food photo analysis via MMS
Progress tracking through conversation

The AI coach is powered by Claude (Anthropic). Responses are generated automatically and are not reviewed by human coaches or medical professionals.

2. Eligibility

To use ForgeBody you must:

Be at least 18 years old
Reside in the United States
Have a valid US phone number capable of receiving SMS
Provide accurate information during signup

By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet all eligibility requirements.

3. Subscription & Billing

ForgeBody offers the following plans:

7-Day Trial: $1 one-time payment. Full access for 7 days. Automatically converts to Monthly ($49/month) unless cancelled before day 7.
Monthly: $49/month. Billed monthly. Cancel anytime.
Annual: $399/year (~$33/month). Billed annually. 30-day money-back guarantee.

Payments are processed by Paddle. By subscribing, you authorize Paddle to charge your payment method on a recurring basis. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time by contacting support@tryforgebody.com.

Cancellation: Cancel at any time by emailing support@tryforgebody.com or replying STOP to any SMS. Access continues until the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds for unused days on Monthly plans.

4. Refund Policy

7-Day Trial ($1): Non-refundable.
Monthly ($49/mo): Non-refundable. Cancel before next billing cycle to avoid future charges.
Annual ($399/yr): 30-day money-back guarantee. If you do not lose any weight within your first 30 days and request a refund within that period, we will refund you in full — no questions asked. After 30 days, no refunds.

5. SMS Terms (TCPA)

By providing your phone number and consenting during signup, you agree to receive automated recurring marketing and coaching text messages from ForgeBody.

Opt-out: Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe. You will receive one confirmation, then no further messages.
Help: Reply HELP for support contact information.
Frequency: Up to 3 messages per day.
Rates: Message and data rates may apply per your carrier plan.
Carriers: We are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages due to carrier issues.

6. Medical Disclaimer

ForgeBody is a wellness coaching tool, not a medical service. The AI coach:

Does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment
Does not replace consultation with a licensed physician, dietitian, or other healthcare professional
Does not prescribe medications or recommend supplements for medical conditions
May not be suitable if you have a medical condition affecting diet or exercise

Results vary. Weight loss depends on many individual factors including diet, activity level, health status, and consistency. We make no guarantee of specific results.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to reverse-engineer or abuse the AI system
Share your account with others
Provide false information during signup
Use the Service if you are under 18

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms without refund.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, and software associated with ForgeBody is owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute any part of the Service without written permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ForgeBody shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to: personal injury, health outcomes, loss of data, or loss of revenue.

Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold ForgeBody harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the Service.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via SMS or email at least 7 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Delaware.
